Expatriates in Bahrain
Expatriates in Bahrain
“Be Kind to the vulnerable and destitute people. They need it the most” Says one of the Expatriates in Bahrain. Bahrain has been illustrious for tourism purposes as there is a spoon full to do in Bahrain for everyone be it a Bahrain National or Expatriates in Bahrain. Like Saudi Arabia is famous for its strictness and rigidness in its harsh environment as Islamic beliefs are strictly followed there but that is not the case in Bahrain. Bahrain is a small but beautiful nest within the shores of Persian Gulf where thousands of people from across the Globe come and visit either for vacations but according to the new survey 88% of Bahrain is covered by Expatriates.

Why do Expatriates choose Bahrain for seeking Refugee? What is so special yet still hidden from us who can only be seen by these expatriates? Is Bahrain a friendly Kingdom and gleefully welcomes its Expatriates? Or is there an untold climate of fright and panic which is yet to be unfold which Expatriates in Bahrain are facing every day. When a person chooses to leave his or her own home and plan to seek refuge in some other country, it’s pretty obvious that there would be some hindrances, restrictions and barriers he or she would have to face in order to reach their final destinations. Problems could be financial, social, moral or economical but a winner is that who faces all these challenges like a warrior and wins each and every battle which comes across its way. Same is the case with Expatriates in Bahrain, they face new tests every single day as nowadays the biggest issue faced by them is the increasing street crime and violence as there is daily tyre burning by the rioters. They protest, run rallies which is not only a problem for their national citizens but also for the Expatriates living there. As they already have faced so much and another happening in that place where they think they were safe and secure but to their dismay that area plays the same role as their own hometown. This news eventually threatens them and is a biggest thing to ponder over.
In the latest headlines this was concluded that Expatriates in Bahrain are especially targeted so they flee back to their own countries. Bombs are placed where there are loads of expatriate residents. Tragedy is that the bombing took a lot of lives with it, leaving their beloved ones shattered and broken of that following incident. There are other few cases where families are forced to head back to their own countries as they don’t have any money or shelter so they prefer going back to their home town. According to the statistics more than 600,000 people are Expatriates in Bahrain which makes 51% of the total ratio if Expatriates. Expatriates also enjoy dating in Bahrain. Another Issue for settled expatriates is relating their pays at work which they get after a month. One of them claims and tells that he has been working for this company for the past three months and at the time of payment the owner refused to pay his clients which becomes a very worrying factor and is a drawback for Expatriates in Bahrain as they take their labor and in result don’t play them and in other cases a few passports are confiscated which result the person who is working for them complains against them which consist of a lot of paper work and it keeps going on for months till the person who actually put that complain forward gets in trouble himself as no one will pinpoint the person who is the shop owner and a national citizen. Another interview was held where all the women as Expatriates in Bahrain met and shared their experiences discussing how they spent their lives and a very positive outcome was produced where they talked about shopping in Bahrain. As an expatriate, it is a pressure as things are in their reasonable rate and one of them shares her incident that she visited this charity shop and did a few shopping and on counter mentioned that she was an Expat and to her surprise that shop owner gave her an enormous discount which was a pleasure.
Another ethnic Minority mentioned that Bahrain no doubt is a very liberal country but in month of Ramadan non Muslims have to watch out over how they are dressed else people give them disapproving looks and stares which gets offensive and uncomfortable so they have to be modest in the way they dress. In General Bahrain is a very easy going place to live. Unlike Saudi Arabia where there are strict rules to be followed for dress code for ladies but here one can inhale freedom. While living here, there are a lot of activities one can experience in little time like horse riding, swimming, clubs, sports, restaurants etc. Normally like in other counties there are unemployment issues but comparing to them there is not much of unemployment issues as everyone easily gets work there. In terms of Clothing everyone is very choosy but the Expatriates in Bahrain need not to worry as everything of their style and just the way they want is easily available with excellent price ranging from just the budget they are looking for.
Expatriates girls in Bahrain spend their time as if they are in some Vacations and once they are deported they go with good memories. As far as bad law and order situation is concerned the government of Bahrain is working hard to fix these issues and the better settlement of expats is the main priority for the government.
